Zugba grill had a good taste of food, yummy food happy tummy, thankyou so much for a good service and a very nice atmosphere, and thank you for the waiters specially to sir Rey
From a Canadian standpoint, this meal was a highlight of my trip to Borocay. I personally had the grilled corn, bangus, and bbq sticks. Let’s start with the bad. The grilled corn was sup-par, the corn itself felt raw and there wasn’t much added to it. Now with the good, this place has the best bangus fish I’ve had. The acidic marinade is paired with a lemon salty finish which goes great with rice. In addition to the pork sticks that were huge, it made for an amazing meal. I recommend anyone travelling to head to this spot. I suggest to go early because some of the popular items get sold out earlier in the day!
This place is absolutely delicious! Among all the Filipino home-style restaurants I’ve tried, this one is the best. I highly recommend the Inasal, Pork Sisig, and Bulalo. Our server, Rey, was incredibly friendly and always had a smile on his face. Because of his great service and the amazing food, I came back several times.
Definitely not what the ratings rate this place as. First thing about this place which is strange is you order then your bill comes out straight away before even eating. Ordered 3 dishes, was told clams were slightly smaller than usual so would get a few more in the serving. Waitress came back and said one of the dishes wasn't available so changed dish. Came back again and said that dish wasn't available (chicken leg) so could swap to the chicken breast. I had to send my chicken back as it had blood inside so needed cooking more. Clams were terrible, so small and no taste. Went McDonald's straight after here... No blame to the waitresses, they were very good. While sitting in the restaurant I was reading the reviews (I should have done this before then I wouldn't have done here) As stated in someone else's review the only reason they have a 4.9/5 is apparently we're offering free dessert for a 5* review. To be honest if they gave me a free meal and paid me I still couldn't give a 5* review as I can't lie.
Zugba Grill in Boracay was an amazing surprise! The food was absolutely delicious – well-seasoned, authentic, and served in generous portions. Every dish we tried was full of flavor, especially the grilled items, which were fresh and perfectly cooked. There were a couple of minor downsides, like the lack of Coca-Cola Zero and the water being served in a bottle without a glass, but the quality of the food easily made up for it. On top of that, the prices were extremely affordable, and they accept card payments, which is very convenient. Highly recommended – I would definitely go back!
